United Methodist Women in Faith
The Discipline of the United Methodist Church states that, “In every local church, there shall be an organized unit of United Methodist Women.” It also says that membership shall be open to any and all women who indicate a desire to belong and /or participate in the global mission of the Church through the United Methodist Women.
The organized unit of United Methodist Women shall be a community of women
whose purpose is:
•To know God
•To experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ
•To develop a creative, supportive fellowship
•To expand concepts of mission through participation in the global ministries of the church
We are committed to a number of diverse causes and activities within the church and the conference. It is possible for a member to participate in many activities…or to choose one that is specific to her interests.
We support activities that foster fellowship with Christian women and provide the opportunities to learn from those of many ages and interests. Participants work together to serve the needs of the church and the community.
