Conference Supported Missions
Local churches – individually and through their districts and mission connections – reach out with funds, volunteers, donated materials, advocacy, promotion and always prayer.
We support the following organizations:
American Red Cross
Blood Drives are held in our Family Life Center (FLC) twice during the year.
Neshaminy Manor
The United Methodist Women (UMW) create a "mitten tree" to collect hats, gloves and mittens for residents of Neshaminy Manor
Habitat for Humanity is supported by a special offering and select workdays.
Doylestown FISH is supported by a special offering, alternative giving during the year and also produce from our community garden during the growing season.
Laurel House is supported by proceeds from the United Methodist Women's Silent Auction.
One House at a Time (Beds for Kids Program) is supported by a special offering alternative giving dring the year and the United Methodist Women.
A Women’s Place, Doylestown is supported by a special offering, alternative giving during the year and toiletries collection for kits that are made.
Red Bird Mission is supported by a special offering and Campbell's product labels collection.
UMCOR – United Methodist Committee On Relief is supported by a special offering and extra giving during the year according to disasters. UMCOR provides humanitarian relief and disaster response in the United States and internationally. Our efforts are targeted in places where natural disasters, war, or conflict have done so much damage that communities are unable to recover on their own. UMCOR helps communities in the United States and abroad prepare for emergencies and to reduce the risk of disasters through a roster of training programs. We also are involved in global development work. Specific programs address issues of health, water and sanitation, poverty, sustainable agriculture, nutrition, and food security. UMCOR seeks to empower local hospitals, schools, churches, and other stakeholders by enhancing their capacity to address these issues.
