First Time Visitor?

Attending Sunday worship at a new church can be a little intimidating and you might have a number of questions that we would like to answer to help make your first visit enjoyable, stress-free and meaningful. We, at Chalfont United Methodist Church, truly believe in having Open Hearts. Open Minds. Open Doors. This is reflected in who we are and what we do.

Come as you are!

You'll find coat and ties along with shorts and sneakers on a Sunday morning. If the weather is nice, ride your bike or walk to us. We are located at the beginning/end of the Chalfont Walking/Biking Trail on Meadowbrook Lane. We'll have the refreshments out when you get here! Chalfont UMC wants to be the place where you can be yourself. We are all pilgrims on this journey and none of us has it all together. There is no need to hide your failures and pain, no need to say the ‘right words’, be a Biblical scholar, or pray a certain way. God loves you and accepts you just as you are and so do we.

What you can expect

When you enter the church, there will be greeters to meet you, provide you with a program and help you locate a seat. If you have children, the greeters will be happy to help you to find the Nursery (for infants and toddlers) and Sunday School classrooms (for pre-school thru 6th grade). Our Nursery is staffed by professional child caregivers. Sunday School is available year-round and new children are always welcome at any time of the year! These are available during both worship services. Your children are also welcome to stay with you during either service. (Youth coloring/activity sheets are available at both services and a small coloring table can be found in the back of the sanctuary at the 9:30 service.)

The glass doors and handicap ramp to the left lead to our Family Life Center, where we hold the 11:00AM service. This service features seating at round tables – coffeehouse style. Music is provided by "Beacon", our praise band. For a sample program for this service, click here.

Both services generally last about an hour.  Holy Communion is offered the first Sunday of the month at both services. Between services we offer coffee, snacks and fellowship in the Family Life Center. This is a great time to meet other people in our community!

Parking is located in the back of our building on Meadowbrook Lane. We have many dedicated handicap parking spaces available with wheel chair accessibility. If you need assistance, please see our ushers or greeters. (For a map, click on Directions on the menu above.)

We want you to feel at home ...

And hope you find Chalfont United Methodist Church to be a place where you can meet new friends, experience an inspiring worship service, and find many different opportunities that will help you continue on your spiritual journey. Chalfont UMC is "family friendly" and all generations are cherished. Whatever your background, even if you have never been to church before, Welcome!
