First Time Visitor?

Attending Sunday worship at a new church can be a little intimidating and you might have a number of questions that we would like to answer to help make your first visit enjoyable, stress-free and meaningful. We at Chalfont United Methodist Church truly believe in having Open Hearts. Open Minds. Open Doors. This is reflected in who we are and what we do.

Before You Arrive

Come as you are! You'll find coat and ties along with shorts and sneakers on a Sunday morning. If the weather is nice ride your bike or walk to us. We are located at the beginning/end of the Chalfont Walking/Biking Trail on Meadowbrook Lane. We'll have the refreshments out when you get here! Chalfont UMC wants to be the place where you can be yourself. We are all pilgrims on this journey and none of us has it all together. There is no need to hide your failures and pain, no need to say the ‘right words’, be a Biblical scholar, or pray a certain way. God loves you and accepts you just as you are and so do we.

If you arrive by car for either our 9:30AM or 11:00AM worship service, you'll enter the church parking lot from Meadowbrook Lane. (For a map, click on Directions on the menu above.)  The red building doors to the right lead to our sanctuary where we hold the 9:30AM service.  The doors and  handicap ramp to the left lead to our Family Life Center where we hold the 11:00AM service.  Not to worry - there will be people to help you find your way!

What You Can Expect

When you enter the church, there will be greeters to meet you, provide you with a program, and help you locate a seat.

If you have children, the greeters will be happy to help you to find the nursery (for infants and toddlers) and Sunday School classrooms (for Pre-School thru 6th grade). Our nursery is staffed by professional child caregivers.  Sunday School is available year-round and new children are always welcome at any time of the year!  Sunday School and nursery care are available during both worship services.  If you prefer, your children are also welcome to stay with you during the service. (Youth coloring/activity sheets are available at both services and a small coloring table can be found in the back of the sanctuary at the 9:30 service, for your child's use.)
